Where to Eat... |
|
Breakfast |
Hotel comfort suites Edgewater drive has breakfast as part of the stay. Makes it nice for families. But an alternative is a small restaurant in Dunedin, right next door to Clearwater; Sea Sea Riders, good food casual atmosphere for kids. |
Lunch |
|
Dinner |
Shepards Restaurant for seafood buffet. Although a bit expensive, the buffet offers something for everyone with a wide variety of fish and other seafood. |
What to Do... |
|
Morning |
If want to walk - really nice trail along Edgewater Drive right outside the hotel goes into Dunedin. Otherwise, hit the beach, not Clearwater where there will be tons of people, but the state park - Honeymoon State park, north of Clearwater. Beautiful and less crowded! |
Afternoon |
If it's spring training (when we always go), catch a Toronto BlueJays game at Knology Park in Dunedin - just 5 minutes from the hotel in Clearwater. There are 3 or 4 other spring training ballparks within 20 minutes of Clearwater. |
Evening |
Now is a good time to head to Clearwater Beach to check out the carnival like atmosphere. Lots of little craft sellers as well as performers. If you have dinner at Shepards or somewhere else, it will make parking easier. |
Late Night |

We have also booked diving trips with Mac's Sports in Clearwater. Lots of diving in and around the city. Finally, there is the Clearwater Marine aquarium on the causeway between Clearwater and Clearwater beach. Wonderful stop for kids! |
